Russian figure skater Yulia Lipnitskaya – who won gold as a 15-year-old at the 2014 Winter Olympics – has retired from the sport at the age of 19.

Lipnitskaya helped Russia to win gold in Sochi in 2014.

That made her the most youthful Winter Olympic gold medallist in figure skating for a long time, and Russia’s most youthful gold medallist at a Games.

Her mom revealed to TASS news office Lipnitskaya had resigned subsequent to having treatment for anorexia.
